One person set a boundary only after breaking it themselves. The whole mess started after a friend's warning, and it involved my partner and the friend who dislikes them. Voice notes stacked up unheard. I wanted to be the bigger person and lasted maybe eight minutes.

Separating protection from interference. It made more sense in my head than it does written down. The warning contained an old grudge and a real detail. My friend now expects updates. I asked questions using my friend's exact wording.
