This happened after a shared rideshare home. I was with two friends from dinner. The issue was that my friends let me pay for the ride home, and I asked for the fare in the group chat the next morning.

I asked for the fare in the group chat. Maybe I should have said it nicer.

One friend had quietly paid for my meal last month. The next dinner plan is now on hold. Now the next dinner is on hold because nobody wants to talk about money.

I know it was not a huge amount, but I was tired of always absorbing it. So AITA for doing what I did?
