How do we ask for wedding portraits without the body edits in our gallery?

Weddings category photographWeddings

My partner pointed to his favourite portrait and said, "That one's going on the wall." My first thought was that my arm didn't look like my arm.

In several photographs it appears narrower, and a mole on my shoulder has disappeared. The photographer confirmed she'd made those changes as part of her usual retouching. We hadn't discussed changing body shape before the wedding.

I like her composition and the photographs of our families. I want the portrait with my actual arm and mole. My partner thinks I'm looking for faults in a lovely picture; he also likes the smoother finish on his own face.

Can we ask for different retouching preferences within the same portraits? I want to describe the changes clearly without turning the conversation into an argument about whether her work is flattering.

Use the details you've given here: restore the original arm shape and mole, and don't alter your body shape in the other images. "Less retouching" could be interpreted in several ways; those requests are specific.
