My roommate used my stuff and made me look dramatic

This started in a student house near Austin, and somehow everyone became an expert on lease law. This started when shared money got used for a private problem. I tried to keep it normal and failed.

This started in a student house near Austin, and somehow everyone became an expert on lease law.

This started when shared money got used for a private problem. I tried to keep it normal and failed. This was during a chore meeting, with three roommates with different work schedules. A fruit fly circled the whiteboard. I know this is petty, but the petty part is also why I am posting.

Not being assigned the invisible cleaning. I did not say that part out loud. Someone cleans quietly in ways I never notice. The chore chart now feels hostile. Now the lease feels like a scoreboard, and the lease renewal has to be signed tonight. I photographed the sink.

I keep coming back to the same uncomfortable point. Visible mess gets counted more easily than maintenance.
