I followed the pickup plan and still got blamed

I was mostly fine until I saw the kid watching all of us. This started when one parent posted a private kid issue in a group chat. I tried to keep it normal and failed.

I was mostly fine until I saw the kid watching all of us.

This started when one parent posted a private kid issue in a group chat. I tried to keep it normal and failed. The whole mess started at a pediatric waiting room, and it involved my partner and a dismissive relative. The fish tank filter hummed over the argument. The whole thing would be easier if I did not also kind of want them embarrassed.

Getting a concern taken seriously. That sounds cleaner than it felt while it was happening. The child looked fine during the appointment. My partner now thinks I create anxiety. Now the child is stuck in the middle, and the group chat is turning into screenshots. I listed symptoms like presenting a court case.

The thing I cannot get past is this. Preparedness is how I manage helplessness.
