#Situations
I am trying to write this without sounding like one of those parents who thinks they are always right.
What happened was a kid got made responsible for an adult message. I asked one direct question and the answer made the whole thing worse. This was at a daycare illness pickup, with the director and my boss waiting on a call. Disinfectant smell clung to the tiny coat. I know parents get intense, but this felt different.
Keeping my job while responding quickly. I did not say that part out loud. The policy had changed in an unread email. My child noticed my frustration. Now the child is stuck in the middle, and the class chat is already involved. I asked how sick before saying I was coming.
Maybe I am using this to justify myself. Financial fear can sound like indifference.
