How many questions are too many when you’re new and the instructions keep changing?

I typed “Sorry, one more question” and then deleted “Sorry.” I put it back.

I’m in my second week booking rooms for a training company. The guide says to use the small room for groups under twelve. Yesterday my supervisor moved an eleven-person course into the large room because it included a demonstration table. Today there’s another eleven-person course with equipment listed, but no table mentioned.

I could make a guess. I could ask the supervisor, who is already answering several questions from me each morning. She’s patient, though yesterday she said I should “start trusting myself.”

I want to become useful without turning every variation into a request for permission. I also don’t want to book the wrong room just to prove I’m independent.

What would you ask here? More broadly, how do you learn which decisions a new person can make and which ones need checking?

“My plan is the small room because there’s no demonstration table listed. Is equipment alone a reason to change it?” shows more of your judgment than “Which room?” You’ve compared the instruction with yesterday’s exception and identified what’s missing. The answer could help with this booking and with the next similar one.
