Are downloaded PS5 games enough for a weekend without internet?

Technology category photographTechnology

My brother saw the downloads finish and said, “Ready for the cabin.” We plan to take my PS5 somewhere with no usable internet. The games were bought through my account, which is also used on the console at home.

I remember enabling Console Sharing and Offline Play on the home machine so other household members could play. I have not checked the setting on the PS5 we are taking.

Is there more to confirm than the download finishing? I would like a quiet evening with games that support offline play, rather than three people discovering a sign-in requirement on the first night. I also do not want to change the household console's setup without warning everyone who uses it.

Check Console Sharing and Offline Play on the console you will take. PlayStation documents that this setting enables offline access to purchased, downloaded games and media, and it can be enabled on only one PS5 at a time. Confirm that each chosen game supports the kind of offline play you want through its publisher's instructions. The account setting cannot by itself answer whether a particular game's intended mode needs an online service.

Arrange any change with the household first. The cabin plan should not unexpectedly alter the console other people use at home. You can explain why the setting matters without promising that both machines will keep the same offline arrangement.
