Should I share a scanned programme or correct the text conversion first?

Technology category photographTechnology

A volunteer searching our PDF for “costume” found nothing. The word was plainly on the page. We had scanned the old theatre programme so everyone could read it on a phone, but it was still an image in the file.

Another volunteer converted it to text in Google Drive. Now we have searchable words, but parts of the two-column programme have run together. One session title sits beside the wrong room.

Would you keep the scan as the main version and add a checked text copy, or rebuild the programme before circulating it? The scan preserves how it looked. The text version is easier to find things in, until it sends someone to the wrong room.

Google's conversion guidance warns that tables and columns may not transfer reliably. The misplaced room is a reason to review the reading order, not merely spelling. Keep the source scan while you correct the usable text. [Google's conversion limits](https://support.google.com/drive/answer/176692?hl=en).
