I was on a packed train when someone accused me of taking their reserved seat.

I had a medical assistance card, but holding it up for everyone felt awful. People nearby only heard me refusing to move, and then phones started coming out.

The person accusing me was standing far enough away that I do not think they could even see the card. That is the part that made the whole train go quiet.

I still do not know if staying quiet protected my privacy or just made me look guilty.
