AITA for reporting my neighbor’s home bakery after customer cars blocked my driveway?

AITA category photographAITA

My neighbor started selling cakes from home. Weekend pickups repeatedly blocked my driveway for several minutes. I asked her twice to schedule customers elsewhere; she put up a sign, but cars still stopped there.

I reported the business to the city. An inspector suspended her permit until her kitchen passed upgrades costing thousands.

She says I could have called during each blockage or installed a cone. I say I should not manage traffic for her business.

The driveway problem was real. I also knew a permit complaint could threaten the entire bakery, and I chose that route because smaller requests had not produced perfect compliance.

Repeatedly blocking access after warnings made formal escalation understandable.

A permit report targeted the whole livelihood when the actual problem was pickup traffic.

Minor delays need not be tolerated forever, but enforcement should match the harm when alternatives remain.

Were you ever unable to leave during an emergency or only delayed briefly?
