Should each traveller have their own rail ticket before the group splits up?
Travel“I've got all four tickets. I'll be there,” Pavel says when Noor asks him to send hers.
He booked their London–Paris Eurostar journeys and has the issued return tickets on his phone. On the final morning, Noor wants to visit a bookshop while the others go to a market. Pavel would prefer everybody to meet at the hotel and travel to the station together. She wants her own ticket available if they choose different routes to the station.
She has already paid her share. Asking for a copy is beginning to feel like asking permission to leave the group. Pavel says he spent an evening organising the bookings and now feels as though nobody trusts him to get four people home.
How should they separate access to the tickets from the discussion about travelling to the station? Noor can appreciate the organising work without wanting a single phone to determine everybody's last morning in Paris.
