Can I stop sending all my lecture notes to a friend without abandoning her when she's struggling to attend?

Education category photographEducation

"Can you send today's notes before your shift?" The message arrived while I was still adding the examples I'd missed during the lecture.

I offered my friend notes for one week when her work rota changed. That was a month ago. She now asks after almost every class. Our course permits sharing lecture notes, but mine include unfinished explanations and reminders that only make sense to me. Sometimes she asks for a voice message to explain those too.

She says she needs the shifts to cover rent. I believe her. I also need my evenings back. The lecturer posts slides, and I don't know what other catch-up support is available.

I want to say I can't keep doing this, without making her attendance problem sound like a character flaw. Is there a reasonable limit between refusing everything and becoming a second version of the lecture?

The voice messages are a new task beyond the one-week offer. You can name that directly: 'I can share the notes I've already finished this week, but I can't keep producing explanations after every lecture.' Her reason for missing class can be real while that limit is real too.
