Do we have to get up for a hotel breakfast we already paid for?
TravelAt 8:10, Leo puts his shoes beside the bed. “We've paid for breakfast. We're wasting it.”
Mina pulls the curtain closed again. It is their second morning in Porto, and breakfast in this example booking ends at nine. They added it for €18 each per morning because Leo dislikes finding food before coffee. Mina said yes while choosing flights, without thinking about getting up after late dinners.
For the remaining three mornings, Leo wants them both downstairs by 8:30. Mina wants one morning without an alarm. She is happy for him to eat and bring a book; he says sitting alone at a buffet makes their couples' trip feel strangely solitary.
Is the sensible compromise separate breakfasts, one planned lie-in, or changing their evenings? The money is already committed under the booking they chose. They are arguing about tomorrow morning while standing in today's pyjamas.
