Can I use a cleaner product photo if the editing tool changed the stitching?
TechnologyThe background cleaner removed the laundry basket behind my handmade bag. It also smoothed the uneven stitch beside the handle. The result looked better than the bag on the table.
I was about to use it as the main photo for a small online listing. My friend said shoppers wanted to see the bag, not my laundry, and the close-up photo would still show the stitching. I liked the clean thumbnail enough to nearly accept that.
The bag costs $45 in the listing, and there is only one of it. I could retake the picture against a plain wall tomorrow, but I had planned to finish tonight.
Is the close-up enough, or should the main image show that stitch too? The tidier picture solves my background problem by quietly fixing part of the thing I am selling.
